As executive director at the Responsible AI Institute, Var Shankar helps organizations use AI in alignment with applicable laws, frameworks and best practices. He is a member of the OECD’s Network of Experts on AI, World Economic Forum’s AI Governance Alliance and the Brookings Forum for Cooperation on AI. He is a Co-Instructor, along with Alexis Cook, of Kaggle’s AI Ethics course. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Var previously practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and worked on the Clinton Global Initiative.
